You are right, magic builds or most likely almost all types of builds have existed in D2 history.
I gave this list earlier in my Normal Build WT thread about my future builds, and the blue build is listed.
'Rare items only wt;
Blue items only wt;
Crafted items only wt;
Sparkling chests items only wt;
Nasty or hated area items only wt etc.'
I must add to this list some more ideas:
White items only wt;
Naked Barb build.
I think people already finished even some naked builds for other chars, so i thing that for rare items only wt, crafted items only wt, white item only wt and naked build wt only Barbarian class is the real challenge.
I don't see why to not use Runes (if no rw is made) or Gems for a magical only wt? If magical items spawn with sockets also, so why not using them? Of course, not using Rare or Unique jewels makes sense.
[With the same blue char i found this nice jewel, Carmine and Wrath Affixes combined, but someone was saying in a Jewels' Guide that in case of magical jewels, such Prefix and Suffix cant get combined on a same jewel. What about Vermilion and Carnage Affixes, +15 to Max Damage with +15 to Max Damage. Its this possible on a magical jewel?]
