You’re thinking of the Amazon ability. The monster mod is not the same thing.

The Den of Evil is level 79 and can drop monarcs. No ranged monsters, no LI's and very easy to get to. Try to grab a exp shrine in the blood more and kill some unique packs before entering. Very safe way to level.
