I have a 390-580 ping on asia just sitting in town. would suggest a different realm

normal realm = useast

ping 300 - 350 in rogue encampment @ asia realm

Last I looked mine was about 300-500 ping on asia

Thanks for checking guys, I appreciate it. When I logged in last night I was in the mid 70's, but it may differ depending on the time, or I was really lucky. Either way, USEast is the new realm. I've updated the first post with the new information, and I'll see if I can get a TA, or a TM to edit my subject line in the topic title.

WE ARE RELOCATING TO USEAST, PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF THAT

Contest Rules
- Contest begins January 17th, 2014 @ 19:00 CST, and will end February 17th, 2014 @ midnight CST
- It will take place on the USEAST realm, Ladder, Hardcore
- You start from scratch Lvl1, no items!
- No POWER LEVELING, you must play through the game legit, and use what's dropped and provided for you.
- No paying for any outside services that may benefit you.
- No spending FG on items for your character! (If caught, you will be removed from the contest)
- Do not Xfer items onto your characters from other characters, then claim you found it. Please be honest and trustworthy.
- This will be played on closed battle.net/Ladder, and the total # of participants will be divided into groups. Each group will have a leader B3rt, and Myself. Each group must have a team name (it can be funny, it can be serious, just don't make it vulgar).
- Each group has to find everything or as much as possible.
- Do not be disrespectful to other players. Please be courteous.
- Have fun, and make a few a few friends on the way.
- Make it fun, Screenshot posting of major events (Such as Den/Andy/Bosses etc etc) are welcomed.
- No Hacks, No mods, no cheating, you can use no programs that alter the game in anyway.

Item finding rules
- If you find an item, post s/s of untouched loot. If it's perfect, please take another s/s of the perfect roll. Please include the Event name (Item Find Contest), and make sure that your game name/password is displayed in the top right.
- FG payouts will be posted for each item for a maximum of two times (for imperfects, perfects) unless the stats do not vary. If the stats DO NOT vary, then you only get the "Imperfect" payout for that item.
- Runes are items that will count, and they need to be found. (There is a payout for them!)
- Upgrading items does not count for an additional payout.
- Once you find an item, it will be taken off the list. After that, you can do whatever you want with it.
- Once an item is found it cannot be found again (unless imperfect, or perfect remain open).
- Sets count @ 5/fg payout, when the set is completed, another 15fg payout will be awarded to that team (After all the set pieces have been found).

- Please include the Event name (Item Find Contest), and make sure that your game name/password is displayed in the top right.
- Post the screenshot in the thread of your unided ground find, and then, if you'd like your roll as well.


Solo Play Rules
- Only applicable when NONE of your party is logged in in-game. You cannot play solo simply because you want too.

Payout Rules
- There will be a final payout to the first group that has either found everything, or found the highest # of items.
- If you happen to roll a perfect unique/set/runeword, you receive both payouts.
- FG prizes will be paid out to the entire group, not just the person who finds it. (This doesn't mean 1 person can run solo and find x amount of items while the others do nothing)
- At the end of the contest there will be an FG bonus to the team with the Highest % item completion (Runewords do not count towards completion %) (Current pot = 350/person)
- I will update the pot if donations are received.
- IMPORTANT - Payouts will fall on Friday's before midnight

Signup is free, though, any donations will go into the final pot @ the end of the contest to the team with the highest percentage of completion!

What class does B3rt & TuNo run with ?

Why can't all the players be Single Player and just assign them teams? No ping issue at all and its the same concept.

We'll run a vote till 2 hrs before it starts. I want closed so people don't import items, or if they die, just revert to alive.

Either way, post your opinions.

Since the realm was changed to useast and the main concern was cheating through xfer, you could lift realm restriction to alleviate ping concerns. your europe teams could europe, your us teams east/west. Something to think on? I'm interested in doing this but would like the details ironed out before I start.

That's why you make strict s/s rules. Have to s/s upon death of minion or boss untouched. Also players should have evidence of already non cheating WT's that have been done. This makes your players known and well respected. Any law-breaking history will prohibit their entry.
Make a list of all applicants if any one has an issue with some participants bring it up before start time. Simple as that.
