DONE, my 3rd message includes the right description how to do it

To allow the most recent ladder runewords (1.13c) to singleplayer:

1) Download this file: https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B_MKcrNsKcK6Zjg2NzYwOTMtYTQ3OC00M2FmLTliYzgtMTNlZDcyMTAyNzcx&hl=en

2) Place it in the "Diablo II\data\global\excel" folder so that it looks something like this: Diablo II\data\global\excel\Runes.txt (note: you will need to create these folders)

3) Add -direct -txt to the shortcut command-line so that it looks something like this: "C:\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -direct -txt

4) Try out the runeword to see if it works. If it didn't work, close the game using the Task Manager... do NOT exit the game normally or it will save the lost runes.


here you go. this works for me on a win7 laptop, but it should work on a mac, too. At least I think so...

I too am playing on a mac, doing p8 HC walks.
I already managed to get the ladder RWs running, but would you ( e.g. SteveWonder ) know how to get extended Stash working?

Hi!

I'm not a mac user, but I have an idea for you. Since diablo 2 does not need super pc to run, you can install a virtual mashine to your mac and install windows xp inside of it.
Then you basically get a diablo 2 running on windows and voila, all the 3rd party programs will run perfectly.

I recommend the Oracle VirtualBox, it's available also for mac. All you need is a windows xp iso file, but I think you can google the rest. I'm sure there are a lot of guides to install windows xp inside your mac computer.
