I noticed my LK runs are better with it at the percentage I have. Could be cos I'm popping regular chests and weapon racks and all of that along the way too though.
I also think locked chests are impacted by MF too. It appears that way that if the chest is locked in LK it pops better with balanced MF on. That's just my experience with it anyway...

the Superchests in lk are not affected by mf, locked or not.

You can follow this chart to see how your magic find % affects rare, set, and unique drops as well. Note the diminishing returns. I personally like running anywhere between 200-300, whatever I can fit onto the character while still maintaining absolute beast status!

Your chart does not list a magic find percentage, just the results from different mf, but not the mf to obtain those results.

Unless there is something I'm not seeing...

It’s the “magic” one. Magic find is 1:1 with finding magic items

Well the deal with me is, there was one time, i just wanted to test it out, i did mephruns in hell with a sorc. I had some 500% regularly, but gathered up switch items for the boss kill, raising the percentage to about 1000%. Made me weak as hell, lol, but the distance trick makes it safe.

The experience i found was that while i got not more often drops, the drops i did get was better. Wizardspike and such, i mean more rare uniques.

Whether you want to slow it down 40% and increase mf% by 500 .... it must be a decision only you can take. It's fun though, it's like playing the slot machine with the highest bet, you can't play too many times, but it raises the pulse a bit more when you actually play ....

Or blackjack, lol, i was actually on a ferry cruise some months ago and did that.. started with 50$, 5-40$ bet range. Went back and forth a bit, but in 10 minutes i had 150$. So i bet 40$ on 3 hands ^^ I thought, if i win this one, i'll quit. What do you think happened? ^^ Of course i lost two hands and got even on the one ^^ And after that, 5 minutes later = Bankrupt ^^ So close ^^

But it's sort of the same in d2. I like to do it that way. If i can boost mf with a cheap trick, i'll do it. But i won't spend 2 minutes swapping gear like that time ^^ Takes way too long.
