So, last update for quite a while i think. I've played quite intensely since reset, and gotten to hell travincal... done about weell, 100-150 runs probably so far. It's a lot more difficult and time consuming since i don't buy almost any gear, and i play hardcore too. I don't join the merc in killing, focus on support and splitting up the members so merc can handle them. Upgraded the Lance of honor to war pike, and he deals pretty good damage when might triggers ... 2000-4000 damage i think, before the +~100% damage to demons. But it's still not much compared to breath of the dying ... He has to work them. Life tap is essential to keep him alive. I do notice, if i cast battle cry on them, merc hits much more often and deals much more damage. So if there's only one or two, i use battle cry. Their defense goes down.
Since switching some gear over to goldfind gear, i do get quite good gold drops, anywhere from 10 000 - 70 000. Even regular chests on the way can drop up to 5000. I use the patriarch in one hand, and spirit on the other. I could use the ogre maul bonesnap to hasten the killing, but then i also put myself in harm's way, with less powerful gear on, i will take more damage and that is just more risky, and counterproductive. Some of the members can deal pretty hefty damage with the right modifiers. I took a 800 hit point damage hit from one of them. I take a more laidback role.
The sad thing is that having gambled probably close to 100 million so far, not a single unique or even set item since that unique gorefoot xD So that's quite demotivating. But, i don't let that stop me, lol ^^ I see it as all intertwining ... gambling just hastens a good find later on, when doing travi runs... And i have gambled a perfect metalgrid before, so i know miracles can happen. And i have found some cool stuff at travi... very weird thing happened, hellslayer unique axe dropped within 1 day of grinding ... sad that it couldn't be more useful elite uniques.......
Will probably take a little break now, going back to civ2, playing diablo 2 a little bit now and then. It's intense work ^^ It's live and hardcore, can't look away for 2 seconds.
