Maybe dumb question but does magic find stack/combine? For instance, my pally has around 300% magic find, a buddies sorc has about 600ish magic find. If we do cows or chaos runs, does our magic find combine? I see a lot of pub Baal games where one guy is usually doing cows or something like that so didn’t know what other people’s magic find does in a game?

It does not stack. They are in those games for the + player count.

The more players the better the chance of something nice dropping is the easiest way to put it.

mf is only considered for the player who killed the monster. only stacking involved is when a merc kills a monster: in that case merc mf and mf of the 'owner' (i.e. player char) is added

Silospen says someting about party size but it doesn't seem to matter, 8/1 or 8/8 and Tyrael drop rate is the same

This is pretty simple but may seem complicated at first.

There's a variable known as NoDrop% that changes depending on the party size. This is the chance that an enemy doesn't drop anything, a so-called NoDrop.
The only thing that changes when you increase the number of players in a game is the NoDrop% - in other words: how many items you will find on the ground.
It doesn't increase the quality of the drops, but since you get more drops, you can also expect more unique items and high runes.

NoDrop% is affected by how many people are in the game and how many people are in your proximity. For example, being in an 8 player game where you farm solo (so no one near you) has the same NoDrop% as being in a 4 player game where you all farm the same area.

Here's a table:

p3/1 means that you are in a 3 player game but you are farming solo. You have a 38.88 NoDrop% so roughly 6 out of 10 enemies will drop something.
p7/2 means that you are in a 7 player and you are farming in the same area as one more person. You have a 14.29 NoDrop%, so you should see 8.5 drops for every 10 enemies you kill.

Also worth noting that the above only applies to regular (white names) enemies. Champions and uniques will give you the same amount of items on p1/1 as on p8/8.

Champions (blue names) always have 5 drops: 2 potions and 1 item, or gold.
Unique monsters (gold name) always have 5 drops: 4 potions and 1 item.
Super unique monsters (gold name) always have 6 drops: 4 potions and 2 items.

The Council members in Travincal are exceptions to all of this.
They are consider super uniques, but they have 3 separate drop rolls and they are affected by player settings.

One last note on this. You can change the players count manually in Single Player/offline to adjust the drop rates. P7 in single player is the same as p7/1 on Battle.net.
