I'd like to have the option of an Act 1/3/5 merc, but I don't know if my 34 regen and 800 mana pool will keep up.

Ive never rad wind druid without (eth) tresher.
If you don't mijd an occasional mana pot pop and pick-up its not required. Why else have a belt with pits ans scrolls if you dont use .

Cool. I'll give it a shot. I'm doing fire right now, which is...frustrating, but mana consumption is reasonable. I'll switch to wind once I roll a 35 spirit. Then focus on merc. I'm thinking Ice Bow Ice Rogue, Lightning Iron Wolf, or Barb with something wild like Azurewrath and Doom.

Decrepify would be great. Maybe Lawbringer for the Sanctuary to boot. Doom, I just remembered, is axe only unfortunately, so no Holy Freeze Barb.

Yes it's plenty viable, especially if you use the vine that replenishes mana.

I always use a lawbringer a5 merc on my wind druids, reapers toll on A2 merc is strong as well.

Yea, I finally fully geared my Druid and switched from fire (meh) to wind (yay!). I have less mana problems even when spamming 'nados. Barb bud, here I come. I'm thinking Lawbringer PB, Plague PB, Treachery, Andy w/ 15ias.
