Has anybody tried out the new build for FOH/Smiter? I saw Mr Llamas build guide and I’m just wondering if the budget build he suggests on icy veins is viable, does it get you through good enough or is it a build that calls only for end game items?

My question really is this- instead of conviction/holy shock he maxes Fanaticism, smite, holy shield, holy bolt and FOH. I’m trying to figure out if there is a way to make a hybrid FOHer with smite and still use conviction and holy shock, and still be able to do a lot of damage with smite using a budget build.

smite doesn't really benefit from holy shock
better use zeal with your skill choice

Use zeal with FOH build, so would you max zeal, and max anything else??? I would be using stuff like a gface, dracs, gore riders and such, would that benefit with using zeal?

I wouldn't use hybrid at all. But if you want to go the Holy Shock route you want to spread the damage as fast as possible and that you will do with zeal and not with smite.
The only reason to use smite would be for bosses and in that case you'll need max speed and CB. Holy shock doesn't do anything in that regard.

Right no I want the holy shock to benefit the FOH, but I was wondering if I had to max Fanat and Holy Shield to run smite or if I can just make a FOH build with one point into smite and still be able to kill bosses?
Or would I be able to kill bosses with one point into zeal and use some hybrid gear to kill bosses/monsters or would I need to max more synergies for zeal to be worth it?

1point into fana might be all you'll need to hit the max ias breakpoint and put the rest Into foh synergies
