I have a blizzard sorc, only lvl 80 but in hell mode I usually only do cows, Andy, and t key.

Should I respect into light and try to do more or what more can bliss sorc do that cold immunes airnt too bad

Mephisto is a great spot for a cold sorc

There is also Ancient Tunnels, in A2 Lost City. Cold immunes very rarely spawn there, and it's a single level with a lot of unique/champion packs. My personal favourite.

I wouldn't respec to light unless you have Infinity for your merc. It's painful in hell otherwise.

Well atm my gear is tarn helm, viper magi, occy, spirt mon, tals belt, mf rings and chance gloves and mf boots

Idk if I’m geared decent enough to do meph

I also have act 2 nm insight merc

I have a light soso, with 300mf.
Can clear ch in 5 mins, and dont have infinity. Merc just kills first seal poo, its easy.

Got 35k lightning dmg, and running ancient tunnels and pit is so much easier with chain light, rather than blizz - just my personal view :-)

I can run everything easy except for trav 😆

I was doing hell meph at 65 day one with no gear. I'm sure you can handle it.

Currently im forb / fwall hybrid. Clears all zones.

But want something new but lightning hmmm aint it infinity based build?

You can do SO much more with a blizzard sorc! You might need to gain some levels/get better gear. Yes the lightning sorceress IS better; BUT it requires the "infinity" runeword which is ungodly expensive - I'd go with either pure blizzard or firewall/orb until you're flush with runes.

I'm level 90 with better gear: I have 65-max resistances, abilities are at level 32, 115% FCR, 420 MF. VERY IMPORTANT get an etherial Cryptic Axe or Thresher for merc + high defense TREACHERY armor and lifesteal helmet (Tals deathmask, or andarials visage). Use Shift + # to heal merc with potions (rejuvs best).

My standard run:

Andarial
Cows
Arcane Santuary (for keys)
Travincal (only if they're easier to kill - otherwise ignore)
Mephisto
Chaos Sanctuary (can be done ~5 min. Your merc is KEY as he's the only thing that kills ranged chaos knights. You'll want to use teleport to redirect his attacks - he will need to solo a decent number of them). Run away from cold immune guys as much as needed - aim to kill diablo.
Pindle
Nithalk (Teleport to him - there is a pattern you can learn amongst the wall paterns/map layouts). Drop a blizzard on him (not minions) and kill/grab key - GET OUT this place is dangerous.
Baal (merc will need to kill 2nd wave of cold immune skeletons).
