Hi, my name is James and I'm a long-time lurker here. I used to play this game yeeaaars ago and I really only play non-cookie cutter builds. Anyways, the usual "COVID got my job" scenario happened so I have a lot of free time and want to start playing some character builds that I would love to try out and play; and I want to share my playthrough with you all. I'm not looking for build advice, just wanted to hear what you all like to do with your WTs :) I have read a lot of WTs on this forum spanning back years ago when the dude took a staff-only medic Pally all the way to Act 1 Hell... That shit was impressive (I'd like to try a build like that!) All the way to Balerathon's epic Hobbes WT! In regards to picture edits, I have read that a lot of people use Microsoft paint to crop n edit photos to make them look nice. I have OCD and want my WT to be clean and crisp. Any advice?

Since I've been lurking for a while, I feel like I know all of the major personalities here lol and it's so nice to see this community still alive (in addition to the little pop in activity due to COVID). Also, since this is kind of a tight-knit forum, I'd like to talk a bit more than just the game. I love meeting others with similar hobbies/interest. I'm in my late 20's, recently married (but my wife is having surgery right now, so I might be a little sporadic in updating some WTs that I start) and love all kinds of sports. I am a big fan of Virginia Tech (even tho I'm a Liberty alumni), ATL Falcons, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Chelsea (and USA national team). However, basketball is my love. I'm a typical LeBron-bandwagon fan and have been ever since he entered into the league. Also, I love me some Kemba and Drummond. I can talk bball for days. I used to play football, soccer and basketball back in the golden days, but now I just lift regularly and play pickup football and basketball games every now then. Interesting fact, I have some friends in the league (NFL). I can't ball out like them, but makes for fun games during the offseason when they come home.

Well, I greatly look forward to getting to know you guys, as well as wasting a lot of times during my nostalgic playthrough of this fantastic classic!

Welcome, officially to be a part of the community! As far as cropping and editing the photos, most people don't. However, there is one person who does a really good job at making their edits crisp on the WTs. That's 2_Shy and his more known walk on Dredd - https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=82488370&f=161. In order to do this, you'll need a few Microsoft paint applications opened at once. Another piece you can use is photoshop, this would be much easier to use and make.

As far as personalities/hobbies: late 20's, married with a 5 month old. I'm a teacher and love science, which is also the subject I teach. I do like sports, but don't really care to watch them, only to play. I love playing video games, and I'm usually creature of habit, so I stick to basically the same games without adventure onto new ones..

Wow... Dredd's walkthrough looks phenomenal. I don't even know what he's doing because his pictures look crazy good. I might have to look into that depending on how long it takes to edit those photos. I may be out of work, but I'm not looking to pick up a part-time job editing screenshots hah..

Also, congrats on the newborn! My sister just had her second a few months back and my wife and I are starting to plan for it, but we shall see. Also, I'm the same way in regard to video game preferences. I love playing games that I played as a kid. So Donkey Kong 64 was the shit and I just recently bought it a while back and played through it. Loved all of the mario-related games. My wife and I play all of them together from old school to new-age. And of course, you cannot forget Zelda. Classic. But D2 is my guilty pleasure that is probably one of my top rated games of all time. I tried playing d3, but it is a completely different game. I'm not a fan. It's great to meet ya, buddy!

Nice to meet you! Basketball is a passion of mine. I used to play it in college, but only at the D3 lvl. Lakers were looking nice with AD and Bron playing together. I'm hoping this lockdown ends soon or at least the nba resumes play so we can get a conclusion to the season. Watching ESPN play old ass games on repeat is dull. Pleasure to see a fellow baller here. Thanks man. I really appreciate it, but, to be honest, I don't really need it as I don't play online. I stick to Single Player and don't need forum gold to trade.

Welcome Bromigo! I'm also more of a consistent lurker/occasional commenter/rare WT-er, but I love this forum and have been more or less reading for a decade and a half. Have been working on a new WT when I can but waiting to get a little further to post.

I am also a huge fan of atypical character builds, and love to see even a norm/NM WT that struggles in hell if it is something unique or interesting. Obviously the weird builds that also make guardian/end-game gear are even more impressive.

Personally, I'm 30, married for a long time but with a new baby (our first), and also a sports fan and basketball player (weird that seems to be a theme here?) but only played in high school and then just consistent pick-up games/rec leagues since. I'm a physician so have been pretty busy with work lately (thus the glacial pace in trying to be able to post my new walkthrough.) With work and the new little one I don't have time for a lot of hobbies outside of my 1-2x/week 5am pick-up game (currently suspended for coronavirus), and occasional games, but I also love the outdoors, hiking, exploring, camping, etc.

I didn’t know you hooped in college! I never really played in school myself. I always loved it but didn’t play much until after high school. Now I play rec 3 times a week or so. Name is Adrian. I’m 32, married and have a 6 year old daughter. If you couldn’t already tell, I love basketball. Also love weightlifting, business, finance and real estate. My wife and I love the outdoors so we have hiked/canoed in a lot of places. I have my own business which my wife and I have operated the past 3 years. Also like to play some of the old games I used to love as a kid although I don’t normally touch any other games other than Diablo 2.
