Hello and welcome to my lastet project: how many runs of Travincal can I do in 20 hours on my Blizzard Sorceress? The answer is 2235 (but you already knew that :P ).

I do not normally make write-ups of my single player endeavours but decided to do so this time. If you are only interested in what items I found go to the section called "The Haul".

Table of Content
i. The Why
ii. The Basics
iii. The Gear
iiii. The Haul
iiiii. The Aftermath

The Why

I did this mainly as a warm up for an event I participate in abbreviated RFL (Rune Find League). I also wanted to document my efficiency in terms of:
Average run time: 31:815 seconds

This is a decent time but far from god tier efficiency. I will share my thoughts on how to improve on this time throughout my post.

The Basics

What basics? Is it not just taking a waypoint and go kill council? Well yes, and no. Let me elaborate.
There is a few tips that will help you bring down your own average time:
i. When the game is loading you can cast your choice of ice armor - Frozen, Shiver or Chilling.
ii. When switching between acts there is a loading delay. During this delay you can swap weapons and cost Battle Orders - do not waste your time casting battle command.
iii. There is something called "a magical line" when teleporting. This is important to know so your teleport path stays some what identical every run (this way the map stays the same every time).
iiii. You want to roll a map where all 11 of council members are spawning on top of each other. The best location they can spawn is at the end of the left balcony (they can not move out of blizzard if they spawn here).
iiiii. Blizzard had invisible particle pockets - this is why you should not cast Blizzard the exact same place twice.

The Gear

The gear I used for all of these runs:

Heart of the Oak - 31@ (was an unlucky roll  )
Harlequin Crest - Sol
Tal Rasha's amulet
Arkaine's valør - Sol
Spirit - 35%FCR
Aldur's boots
2 x Bul Kathos Wedding Band
Snowclash
Hellmouth

My gear selection is not impressive but I want to talk about something else. Which resistances are important?
I play very aggressive and often time telestomp, so naturally my gear is tailored towards this playstyle. You want maxed or near maxed fire resist and cold resist. Those two are the culprits of many death when doing Travincal. I'm using Snowclash for the cold absorb and great boost to damage and Hellmouth for the fire absorb.
For the curious I had 0 deaths with this setup and only 1 NDE.

My mercenary was wearing Infinity, Gladiator Bane - Mal and Steel Shade - Ral. You want Infinity because 19/20 times the cold immunity for Toorc is breakable.

My inventory consists of various small charms with MF% and Resists. I aimed for 170-186% MF because this is the range where rare rings, rare jewels and facets have the highest chance to drop.

The biggest improvement would be to find Deaths Fathom and add some skillers to the inventory. I will aim for 9000 Blizzard damage because increasing damage beyond that does not improve average run times.

The Haul

This is the haul screenshots. I'm overall pretty happy with the results. I dropped a lot more items than on the screenshots but these are the ones I like the most. Stats on items will be below the images.

The big one here is of course the Jah rune. It dropped for me 19 minutes before I hit the 20 hour mark. A nice way to finish off the project. I had a dryspell of 700-800 runs where no Pul+ dropped.

My two favorites here are the ethereal Reaper's Tolland ethereal Runemaster. That was a pleasant surprise.

The big one here is the Poison & Bone skiller with +31 life. The rare rings was decent at best. Might use one of them on my pitzerker until a better option drops.

The complete list of stats:

    Ethereal Runemaster - 5os, 241%ed

    Ethereal Reaper's Toll - 230%ed, 15%ll

    Thunderstroke - 3java, 183%ed

    Titan's Revenge - 174%ed, 5%ll

    Herald of Zakarum - 156%ed

    Thundergod's Vigor - 198%ed

    Harlequin Crest - 132def

    Viper Circlet (rare Tiara) - 2pala, 20%fcr

    Stone Casque (rare Coronet) - 2druid, 20%fcr

    Skin of the Vipermagi - 35@, 9mdr

    Poison & Bone skiller - 31life

    Beast Coil (rare ring) - 54ar, 7%ll, 15dex, 39mana, 26%lr

    Plague Band (rare ring) - 45ar, 5%ml, 7%ll, 16str, 26mana, 29%pr

    Blood Eye (rare ring) - 18str, 34life, 81mana, 26%fr, 7%mf

    Stone Hold (rare ring) - 9mindmg, 81ar, 8energy, 5repl, 10@, 38%lr

Bul Kathos Wedding Band - 4%ll

I did not include stats on Ravens (best one was 249ar, 19dex) and facets (no 5/5s)

The Aftermath

Will be written later today when I have time.

Trav is by far my favorite place to run. Especially on my Frenzy Barb but I’ve ran it a lot with my Blizz sorc too. Thanks for sharing! Definitely interesting.

Thanks for all the positive comments :)

I am unable to edit the OP so the aftermath will have to be here:

The Aftermath

I definitely found a lot of good stuff.

The Jah rune was inserted into a 3os 13%ed 11%maxdura Mageplate I had in my stash to make the runeword Enigma (I had 1 Ber & 1 Sur beforehand). The roll was +774 defence. This Enigma will go to my new Barbarian.

I had no need for the Ohm rune, so I cubed it with another Ohm from my stash to make a Lo rune. The Lo was used to make a Grief in a plain 5os Phaseblade. The roll was 32%IAS and +367damage. I only really cared about getting 32%ias or higher for my pitzerker. Although the roll could have been a lot better, I'm still pretty happy about it.

All the mid runes I found I used to cube up to Ist (also had a lot of Lems + Puls beforehand) which ended up as 4 Ists. I put these + the 1 Ist I already had into a plain 6os Phaseblade. Just need one more of these :hail:

I left the Vex and 2 Sur in my stash for a future Pheonix (would have been awesome if I had dropped 2 Jahs).

My next project:

I will likely farm Countess until I get an Ist or can cube up to one. Then I will start a 20 hour Pindleskin project and this time I will record the whole thing.

Hope you enjoyed the read!

Players 3. Which is the most efficient unless one is really undergeared.

Why? Harder but not good enough increase in drop rate om higher player settings?

Will do alot of Travincal runs with my barb!

The amount of time you lose on clear speed is not worth the extra drop%. If you need more experience /p7 is a good option but experience at /p3 is not that bad.
