I am currently playing a Faith Amazon with a Act 2 Might Merc.

Equipment.
Ama: Faith, Fortitude, Mavina helm, Razortail, 2 bows/20ias gloves, WT, 2 Ravenfrost and Highlords.
Then various charms giving life, res, max dmg/ar, frw, fhr and 1 torch. Sometimes in combination, sometimes don't.

Don't have anni/CTA (my next targets to get, I think).

Merc: Pride in eth Great Poleaxe, Treachery in ethbugged Lacquered plate and Andy's with Ral.

This setup, with multishot works fairly well for killing mobs at Diablo sanctuary or down to Baal.
Mobs die in a few shots if not physical resistant, which is when Ice Arrow helps.

Though the main issue I have is that this char is literary terrible at killing Diablo or Baal. And the Merc dies like a fly against both (though he survives everything else with ease).

Is there a way to make the Merc survive against Baal/Diablo? Or to make my Amazon make some damage against them.
I know LoH might be an option to increase damage, though doubt the speed increase will make the Merc survive.

you have no crushing blow whatsoevery with that build. Meaning the damage you deal vs bosses is rather low. Pride is also a slow wpn for merc, so rather hard to keep himself alive. Try a Life-tap wand in cube/stash to use on bosses for merc.

Is the merc still fading frequent enough?
I've heard people claim that sometimes the higher defense armors make it to where it's hard for them to fade before taking mass damage..

Put Guillaume's Face, Laying of Hands and Gore Riders on your char + Obedience and Duress on the merc and try a few boss runs

use loh
atma is great at killing bosses but useless at everything else
faith what? gmb?

collect full rej potions and feed your merc during boss battles
and yeah, check for fade. Treachery is only good if fade procs, which might not happen when you play bowa, so if your merc doesn't have fade when you reach diablo, give him literally any other armor and it'll be better. Ideally coh for +2might.

afaik CB is nerfed on ranged attacks so it only does like 1/8 percent or so, iirc, its been a while, if anyone has the correct number, please feel free to correct it.
so not sure how much CB would actually help on a bow build, but he could give merc some CB in this case, which is allright.

It wouldn't, just dont listen to him he doesnt know anything about the game, gore on bowazon is bad

you need to apply either amp or decrep on mobs so your killspeed will keep merc alive
you can go faith shadow bow with atma amulets, merc could keep pride/coh/andariels (or delirium)
or reapers with treachery/andariels (less damage, but safer than atmas option) for the common gmb faith / highlords build
always keep war traveler on yourself, get merc more ias so he can survive better diablo, might still need to give him a few rejuv here and there

Of course you know more than me... after all, i just enjoy the game casually, while you spend your life on forums and the Diablo wikis. I told you son, that's not something you should be proud of, because it's quite embarrassing really.
