So if the Bone Attacks are all magical damage, why do people use amp which increases physical damage?

In game the skill Lower Resistances says it increases all magical attacks (which im assuming "MAGIC" damage is actually not helped but just elemental attacks)


Has anyone ever tested if Amp actually helps or if lower resistances makes a difference?

I believe people use amp to increase the dmg dealt by merc and also corpse explosion.is 5p% physical dmg do it helps when using CE

I believe amp works with bone spirit. Def not spear though

no malediction increases bone spirit / bone spear dmgs

Both is classified as magic and nothing states anything different so not sure about this.

I always wondered this because I always feel like I take more damage from the bone spear snakes when I'm amp'd

maybe its a one way street because i have a 40 something bone necro and I actually tested it out a few weeks ago
and i determined that amp doesnt increase his spear or spirit damage at all.

are u certain their bone spear is magical?

Lower res doesn't affect magic res. U use amp for merc and CE dmg.

That’s a good point. It very well could be physical. Although I’m still not 100% certain that I’m even right about them hurting more when I’m amped, could just be my imagination

It's almost instant kill either way if ur not careful.. Amp'd or not
