Is there a guide on this? Im wonder where the best place to farm gem shrines is? If you find a gem shrine in single player will is spawn as a gem shrine every game?

I believe if you find a gem shrine in SP if you save/exit and the re-enter the map will stay the same until you close d2 so if you find a gem shrine right next to a WP that would be the map to keep, if you are looking for tons of gems and find a good map I’d check other areas/acts to see if you got lucky and have more than 1 shrine next to a wp been quite some time since I played SP so I may be wrong but I believe I’m correct as that’s how I used to farm LK etc for runes, as far as the shrine staying as a gem shrine I’m not positive

Shrines that give you bonuses (exp shrine, gem shrine, resist shrine) will change each time you join a game. Health and mana shrines are always the same.

The best method is to just roll maps until you have some waypoints with a few shrines close by and keep trying them.

Pretty sure it doesn't work like that.

I did a lot of gem shrine farming this week and I can guarantee you it does not work like that.

is act1 best?

Any waypoint with shrines near it will do, but it does seem like Act 1 has more shrines in it. The way I did it was just check waypoints from stony field to black marsh, if I didn't get like 4-5 shrines close by then I'd reroll the map.
