This is My tactics.

First get rushed vs hellforge. Go to baalruns and maybe catch something interesting and build Tal rasha blizzard sorceress.

real easiest way if you don'T have nothing yet... get rushed through normal and sell your socket quest

Then when you have some forum golds, you can afford Tal set and do whatever you want from that point on...

Such as Rush people, MF in hell, do Services, ect...

Playing diablo 2 you are kind of out of luck until a ladder reset. During ladder resets you can sell some relatively common items for hundreds of fg. You can also make a decent amount from selling items/services in other online games if you play any. I got a lot of my fg from Hearthstone. You can also try things like homework hotline too.
