They just disappear if I get too far ahead of them, same with my golem. My Druid doesn't have this problem, all of his minions just teleport back to me on their own. Why do the Necros minions despawn but the Druids don't, and how can I fix it without having access to Teleport?

What if they get stuck and can't follow me though? I'm lazy, I don't like having to constantly micromanage them. That's actually part of why I prefer Summoner Druids. The wolves will at least teleport to you if you get too far.

I do. I like my wolves, I like my spirit and vine, I like running with a bow on my Druid and having Cyclone Armor and having access to Werebear and SHockwave if I need it. A Summoner Druid would duo very well with a Summoner Necro, I'd imagine.

The game is only effectively able to keep track of your skills while they're within a certain distance of you

That's why missiles are invisible once they leave your minimap and certain skills say "slain by an evil force" if they kill players from far away

Skeletons don't normally despawn this way. It's normally shadows and golems.

Teleporting or running slower is the only thing you can do

Necro minions do the bulk of the work, Druid minions support them.
