Hey guys! How's it going?

So my d2jsp account is noob, but I've actually played Diablo since D1. On and off in later years. Anyways, I'm not trying to flex or anything. Just don't want people to think I started 2 weeks ago.

So for me, I've always really liked Wind Druids. I used to PK with them all the time, and I have one currently after starting again. I use him mainly for PVM right now.

But it's kind of strange, maybe it's just my own perception but I feel like a Wind Druid is always in a Hammerdins shadow if that makes sense? Like they're not even viewed as a viable option by some people, and that really confuses me.

I'm sure people who've used them and have used a Reaper's Toll on their Merc have seen the kind of destruction these guys do first hand (including myself, that's my current setup) and I'm just wondering if we can get a discussion going about the pros and cons of a Wind Druid vs a Hammerdin?

But isn't a hammerdin actually more expensive? If you look at the costs of their GCharms and Torches they're generally more expensive. Their spirit base is generally more expensive if they go that route as well.

The main cost for the Wind druid is finding that wolf pelt, but honestly a Jalals is still a great place holder till that happens.

The mercs cost is about the same as well.

Windy is not even close if u compare it to hammerdin.

Windy got shitty frames and awkward playstyle.

No you don't use a Shako, you use a rare pelt.

Hammerdins aren't cheaper, we went over that in a previous comment

I feel like you haven't considered the damage output or looked at any of the math. My apologies if I'm wrong, it just comes across that way looking at the responses you're making.

If you guys are so against having a discussion like this, then my apologies I thought this would be a good place for it. I'm going to take a look at the math after work and try to see exactly what we're looking at. I'm happy to share whatever I find if anyone's interested.
