I have never tried a barb wt. Was thinking about frenzy since I like some speed

I have no clue how to build it, how to progress and what gear to farm. Strategy, goals for each act/difficulty etc.

Please help

Skill wise, I think you max frenzy, bo and a weapon mastery first, then taunt/double swing for extra dmg.

Gear wise just make sure you have some cb% and some fast weapons and you’re good to go. Get to nightmare and find a butchers pupil for one weapon and just a simple black tune word works as the 2nd. After that oath is really easy to get and it’s not like a grief is too tough to make either if you get to LK. Barbs have insane life so you can basically get he gear you need from nm meph to get to the end game.

Norm: get through as fast as possible cuz norm is cancer for melee chars.

NM: farm Andy/Meph for:
Butchers Pupil
Headstriker
Gface/Arreats
Raven
SoE
Make ‘Treachery’

Hell: make/find gz end-game gear:
2 x Grief Pb
Forti
LoH
Gores
Highlords

Forti is a bad call since you want to use Find Item for more effective mf, and your chilling armor will shatter enemies onto unlootable corpse.

i agree with Alone on the fort no good for popping bodies

also normal is not that much cancer for melee chars maybe just barbs lolol

Ok. So what weapon would you go with until butchers?
Axe's?

enough str and rest vita I guess in stats.

Merc a2 for aura in normal with AR?
in nm with might?

There are plenty of low runewords that are more than effective till you find butcher’s pupil. Check out runewords on arreat summit.
A2 merc is fine as long as its not holy freeze, can even use a1 merc that will deal dmg from back while you are tanking in front line. Just avoid cold arrow in that case.

Enigma>fort rest is good tho.

Alright I think Ill be rocking 3s axes with runes from countess at first. Maybe do steel/strength runeword. Try to blood craft as much as possible!
