Hi! I am trying to build a Frozen Orb Sorceress and need some advice on what runewords should I make at the start of the adventure.
Have no idea how to enable runewords in Single Player, but I guess will figure it out soon.
Now she's level 18 but the fights started to be really risky and scary as well, so will just try to farm the Countess for some runes and look up for runewords.
Where do you search for socketed items, do you just get them as drops or buy from NPCs?

Usually sorcs start with fire build. Farm Countess for Tir and Ral runes, then make 'Leaf' in a 2 sox staff, which can be shopped at Akara. If you have time you can try shopping a +3 Fireball staff.
The second important runeword, which also requires some Countess farming, is 'Stealth' armor (Tal - Eth).
The rest of your gear can be anything ('TirTir' helm can make your life even more easy).

After you hit lvl30, you can respec to Frozen Orb build.

This is the easiest way for sorcs in normal.

As for enabling Ladder runewords, here is a step-by-step guide:

Thanks, managed to put the runewords file there and it's working. Made Leaf and Stealth so far and will farm for a few more runes at Countess.
For the moment will use Leaf until I find something with some cold skills as add. Almost level 20 and I should be good from now on until I hit 30.

You should farm nighmtare mephi for gear. Pretty easy to get there with random gear as a sorc

It's a long road until there as I just started act 2 Normal.
Slow progression and can't even call it steady because of the crappy resistances that I have at this point.

I prefer to put just a couple of point in FB at the beginning and boost FIre jolt, keeping mana cost of fireball lower, because I’m a lazy tomber for mana potions

Able to use Frozen Orb from now on :) Will be killing Mephisto shortly and then will try to farm for some upgrades.
