I was trying to help Bel, but I determined I was wrong. I went to go test how much experience I got from a champion monster and then went to see if my math checked out. Well it turns out, it didn't.
Before killing the monster in the picture below, I took the s/s, with all other monsters around the area dead.
Info: Base experience from a Hell Buzzard is 35,520 (info here:
http://www.theamazonbasin.com/wiki/index.php/Lower_Kurast) . This is a champion (mlvl82), so it is multiplied by 3. And it's on players 8, so again multiplied by 4.5.
35,520 x (4.5) = 159,840 + 35,520 = 195,360, then 195,360 x 3 = 586,080 total experience if I were to get 100% of it. Now this is where I'm confused. At first, I thought I should get 100% of that since I'm within 5 levels of the monster. mlvl (82) -clvl (87) = -5.

Now, I looked into it further from
http://www.theamazonbasin.com/wiki/index.php/Experience and it showed that above level 70, it again is calculated. Which at level 87, you get 14.0625% of the experience.
My next picture is the experience from the bird's death.

The experience gained was 67,432.
If I were to take the original number calculated (586,080) and nerf from the ~14% from above, it should equal to 82,417.5 (rounded down, though). This is not the case. So I went back.
Maybe diablo takes the level of which you are, and includes that in the formula for some reason, and what I mean by that is 87, 86, 85, 84, 83, 82 (6 level difference), so I would get 80.859375% of the total experience. and then again, ~14% of that.
So, 586,080 x 80.859375% = 473,900.625 (again round down). 473,900 x 14.0625% = 66,642.1875 (rounded down). This is closer to what is shown on the LCS experience bar, but not exact.
So my question:
HOW DID THIS GET CALCULATED?? I've tried many different types of calculations and I can't get it. I would be here for an hour typing all the ways I tried to calculate it and it's just annoying.
