I am Hamr, Child of Fiacla-Géar, Servant of Glór-an-Fháidha, Student of Caoi Dúlra, and a Shapeshifter of Túr Dúlra. I am a Druid of Scosglen and I am here to answer your call for aid.

The Darkening of Tristram is just the beginning of a path that will ultimately lead to Uileloscadh Mór, the final battle between man and demon. There is word of prophecies that have foretold the return of The Prime Evils, The Three Brothers, Dul'Mephisto, The Lord of Hatred; Diablo, The Lord of Terror; and Baal, The Lord of Destruction.

"And a child will cradle Terror in his breast as the heart of man falls under the shadow.
A Wanderer will pass through the ancient lands trailing chaos in his wake.
The Three Brothers will be reunited as the mortal world trembles before their might.
And so it was foretold that the Three, once reunited, would be shattered again—
And the last of them would set his sights on the holy mount. The warnings held that
Their defeat would be illusory—that the final gambit had yet to be played..."

"And now at last the storm surges forth from the southlands, and the hand of Destruction
Reaches out to undo the workings of the Ancients. The tides of Hell surge—ready to smash
Down upon the shores of the mortal world — to drown the guilty and the innocent alike."

I know not if these prophecies hold any truth, only that Uileloscadh Mór is upon us and I must become stronger if I am ever to face such evils. For it is my task, given by Fiacla-Géar, to defend the secrets of The Ancients and the mysteries below the peaks of Mt. Arreat. This task is the sole purpose of all Children of Fiacla-Géar and Children of Bul-Kathos alike.

At last, I've arrived at the small outpost known as the "Rogue Encampment". I have heard word of their troubles and their relation to The Darkening of Tristram; I seek to aid them with their plight. I shall make my presence known, although I hardly doubt I've gone unnoticed.

Without much effort I was directed toward High Priestess Akara, seemingly the leader of the encampment. She has offered me what little she can in exchange for my help. A tent for sleep, a chest for storage, a fire kept burning, and access to their shops.

She informed me that their stronghold has fallen to a demoness known as Andariel. Andariel has spread a sort of curse, corrupting many of Sisters of the Sightless Eye to fight for her, among other monstrosities. For now though, Andariel is beyond my reach.

However, I've been informed by Akara that some rogue scouts have reported demons amassing in a nearby cave and they suspect an attack on the encampment is eminent.

I won't let that happen; it seems this will be my first task. I will launch my assault in the morning.

I'd grown restless in the night, the thoughts of battle do not lend themselves to a deep slumber.

I awoke to find a man named Warriv near the fire outside my tent. We shared words, speaking of rumors and prophesies. Most seemed fiction, but he spoke of a dark wandered leaving evil in his wake; this caught my interest. He said the wanderer was headed East and passed through the Rogue Monastery. Once he passed through the Monastery, the doors shut and demons began ravaging the countryside. Who could this cloaked man be? What role does he play in this?

Morning had finally come, and I began my search for this so called "Den of Evil".

I came across a Leathdhiabhala, a corrupt creature of the wild. Although these beasts are aggressive in nature, this particular creature seemed to be in a state of unsoothable rage. No doubt the work of demonic corruption.

The stench is unmissable, this is surely the den Akara spoke about.

I called to the Spirits of Nature to help me purge this cave of all the evil it had stored and to lend me their strength in my coming battles. They answered my call, just as I have answered the call of Akara; she will be pleased this news.

After a long day of battle, I returned to Akara to inform her of the good news and bring her the head of the abomination Corsefire, who roamed that cave. I've earned her trust, and she has rewarded me with a old druidic tome covering the subject of Lycanthropy.

I spent the night pouring through the pages. I feel as though I have learned a great deal from this ancient book, I will have to test my newfound skills in the field.

With the immediate threat dispatched, the hovel has been overtaken by a moment of relief and rest.

I spoke with many of the locals and sought repairs to my armaments from the local smith, Charsi. While she heated her forge and readied her tools she told me tales of Rogues who fought in Tristram returning with items of great power and magical proprieties. Could it be that such items are common among the demons and those who dare challenge them?

Charsi also mentioned a name, "Cain", that I have overheard the locals gossiping about. Apparently he was a scholar of some sorts, and was a witness to what happened in Tristram but hasn't been seen since the city has fallen. I would wish to speak to him if he still lives.
