I would probably use rift. Something with high elemental damage.

you'd think this but no.

as the last step in dmg calc vengeance converts all phys dmg to ele dmg. so the higher your phys, the higher the ele. substantially higher dmg from grief than any other weapon in the game including big stack ele dmg such as gimmershred or deamon arch

I was told in this one instance ebotdz outweighs grief pb, something about how the dmg calcs

Your weapon is not the source of a solution for your AR problems, unless you find a bamf fools/ias/cruel weapon. Go for something that hits like a truck, preferably all in physical damage. Get your AR through raven/ar ring/charms/ viso hat or angelic combo if you have to, but the weapon is not the place to make compromises on damage for attack rating purposes.

Rift is an OK option but not good for a vengeance din. Rift would make more sense if you were a zealer with conviction, then the frozen orbs would do pretty decent damage.

Guess what im wondering now is does grief beat ebotd in all situations or is there a case on any class or set up where u use breath

I might be wrong but I recall that +damage like on grief doesn’t work with vengeance.

Whoa that would be a big factor, could vengeance be that one case where u use ebotdz?

Beast is also a really interesting option for a vengeance din, throwing that out there if you have the need for speed. I did a little bit of reading and think that grief's +400 dmg does not work but I didn't find anything other than a really old jsp guide which also suggested that weapon ED doesn't work, which I am about 95% sure is a lie based on quick experimentation in town. I believe it is supposed to mean that 40% ed jewels (and therefore fort) in gear don't work.
EBOTD is sounding pretty good after this basic reading.
