N00b Questions - Topic

Hi, I'm playing PoE for the first time! I was playing D2R, so the core mechanics are familiar. A few basic questions:

QoL stuff:
-Is there a way to ID items without scrolls?
-How do I know whether an area has a waypoint?
-Are all entrances to the Sanctum area the same?
-Will the Sanctum levels align with the main area level, or will they be different?

Trading:
-Is there a beginner's guide to trading somewhere?
-At what level / in what area will I start to find items worth some fg?
-Which items are used as currency in-game, and when/where do they start to drop?

okay sooo imma try to explain all i can! which is not that much :cry:

so!

yes you always need scrolls if you want to id an item
areas with wp you can see when you press U i think, wp areas have a blue dot
sanctum i cant answer, not playing this league

cant answer with trade advice either as im a non paying customer so i cant really trade :cry:

you can find stuffs thats worth something right from the start (orbs and mirrors etc), although with a much lower chance; as for actual items, ofc depends on the item but usually around lvl 80+ you start finding good things (i mean item level, not your level; basically mods an item gets are connected to the item level and trash tier items cant have highest tiers of mods)
as ingame currency you generally use 1) chaos orb as a basic, most common, relatively low tier currency, 2) divine orb as high tier currency which you use for big dick items and 3) mirror of kalandra for ultimate pog daddy shit (you probably wont see either a mirror or one of those items so no need to know this)

Get your thinking cap out, you'll need it. A streamer named Zizaran has these "PoE University" videos he makes on YouTube. They'll help you with a lot of the baics. There's a lot to learn just to function well in the game. Let alone all the third party programs and sites you'll have to familiarize yourself with.
