does it matter which plot is choose? i don't have the brain power to memorize which monster gives what craft.

It doesn't give crafting options anymore, instead monsters drop 'lifeforce' , crafting options require specific amounts of X type of lifeforce.

You wanna pick monsters with darker names. White is the worst, light blue is better. Than dark blue. Than im not sure after that.

They get harder the darker the name though white = easiest

Look at harvest it will show all the crafts

You can be lazy but don't expect others to hand hold you

the picking option part is kinda useless, i had bumped into 2 of them having basicly the same same results and color.. why am i still picking at this point lol

Yea if youre maxing harvest theres zero point in stopping to try and pick you just click one and go. You're going to end up with a ton of every color anyway.
