Do not admit you did it is the main thing

this is an absolute must. if you admitted to using jsp, that acc is permanently fucked, and if you admit rmt in general, even your ip address might be fucked

think of it as washing the foot with soap after stepping on a rusty nail. you will probably still get tetanus, but theres a small chance it will help !

I don't think this is necessarily true. Someone who was banned for RMT owned up to it and GGG gave them a second chance. If they have undeniable proof (or even what they consider proof) of RMT, lying about it won't matter/get you anywhere.
