POE > lost ark

thought i'd give lost ark a go to take a break and i must say im pretty underwhelmed.

the promise of the end game consists of farming dungons for mats to hone gear up to the same content gated behind item level and the never ending travel between zones for grindy content.

anyone else feels same way?

Idk I couldn’t get to endgame as the lvling is boring. Why can’t mmorpg makers make fun lvling like vanilla WoW had. All these modern devs focus on is endgame only.

why anyone would think lost ark (or any other arpg tbh) competes with PoE over what PoE is is beyond me. GGG has spent 10 years improving upon improving balance/builds/items/crafting and extending the good ideas of D2 and you expect a shitty chinese mobile PC game to compete with it? Maybe if you think d3 was a success you will

The most depressing thing for me while leveling was i never felt like I'm always super strong, never in danger, never forced to think, just mindlessly do certain tasks. Dropped game after getting combat lvl 50. It's not a game for me.

is it free? imma give it a shot if its free

i havent played but when i hear about a new Arpg thats gonna compete with Poe, and this is like the 20th time in just a few years, itll be most certainly a case of games shit. might have a fun playthrough but thats it.

btw it's a MMO.................

Lost Ark is pretty good honestly, love how to combat feels.

It's not a arpg but the combat sort of feels like it is. It has a ranked PvP system and that's great. Every game becomes a grind in late end game, except in Lost Ark it's a gradual build to complete next step content where POE you can win rng lottery. Lost Ark does have some p2w stuff in it though which is not great
