i played poe for a long time but never did any jsp trading

whats the way people generally do it? is it just add character/party, go to hideout, trade, and thats it? or is there any other steps?

usually 2/3 rule, never mention d2jsp, always trade fake rare for what your buying.
If you want to take an additional step list an item for the amount your buying and pm that person with the buy message

with that out of the way generally its:

1) pm person
2) invite person
3) complete trade

and done

Do you mean just throw in a random rare in when you purchase orbs(etc.) on jsp cause I notice you can't just give to people from trade screen, has to be trade.

make sure you put a rare in trade window like he says, or 1/2 the community wont even trade.....

Huh that's strange. So I should just always have crap rares on hand when I wanna buy something?

Well it's not that big deal really, unless you do a lot of small trades.
It just looks less suspicious.

honestly just think of never having the trade window empty is the main concern, as long as you do that should be fine most of the time.
