Hey guys, I'm considering playing Path of Exile but I'm wondering before I play it, how does the D2JSP trading work on there? I'm assuming it violates the Terms of Service by PoE developers.

In Diablo 2, the general way to trade on D2JSP was to make a game, join the game, send the buyer//seller the name and password... They drop the items in game, they DO NOT mention D2JSP, WHATSOEVER or risk getting banned... Even saying "t4t" is grounds to be investigated for being banned for real money purchases.

How do you get around the monitors in Path of Exile? I've never played so I don't know if there are custom GAMES you join like in Diablo 2, or even how to trade with other players legally. If anyone can let me know that would be great!

seller send pm on jsp to the buyer with his character name and the buyer answers with his character name, buyer gets invited and goes to the seller hideout, usually put a random item to make like a real in game trade have been done. you dont have to say anything in chat, some people do some fake conversation for big trades like if you sell for 10k fg of currency etc
