In terms of league specific events. Like I want to play heist but there's only a bit over a month left of the league. When it gets switched over to standard, can I still play heist in standard?

Depends if they carry the league mechanic over to standard. For example, harvest was last season and they didn't carry over the mechanics. Before that was delirium, and those mechanics were carried over.

Is there any way of finding out before the league ends? Delirium was the first time I played POE and I stopped playing before harvest, but heist looks like a lot of fun. I just want to be able to take my time playing it instead of rushing and only having a month to try

regardless of if the mechanics get carried over or not, they are never the same as they are in league (sometimes good sometimes bad).
If you want the league experience there is only one way to get it.

a month is more than enough time. many players only play 3-4 weeks before having done everything they can/want in a league and quit until the next league.

Its a last minute decision / announcement by GGG. You will hear it somewhere between a week or 2 for league ends and when new league starts

The choice to leave league mechanics in the core game, over time, has been a rather bad one. Standard would be much more playable if either all the leagues were left in, or none of them. Not this hogepodge fucking whatever bullshit.

Leave them all in? Great I get to experience everything.

Leave none of them in? Great. Things like Zana mods and scarabs are actually important now.

And yes, if we left none of them in this would mean no delving allowed in standard also. Only in leagues. Delving is kinda pointless in standard at this point.

Standard isnt even "Standard" its a fucking downgraded league area where you can use items you had on old characters. Whats standard about it?

thats one of the main reason i play standard only, no relvl / no new atleas progression / you can pretty much play what ever you want without trading, becasue you have already 90+% for each build in your stash

standard > league when oyu have limited time ( and i talk about 2h or less per day )


since i dont play heist, if you cna fracture anything in league you cna do that in standard aswell, i do that all the time with 100% del maps and no sextants etc from harvest
