Brand new to Poe and there is a ton to learn. I'm early game at lvl 26
And reading about exalts..

How exactly do they work and what type of item would you use it on. Do I wait until high lvl B4 even trying to use them?

Additionally as a shadow what weapon would you use..? I'm going int route so.. traps or claw? I literally have no idea .

since you are new, you wont really use exalts...like ever at least half a year if you have some high lvl intelligence irl, otherwise more or never use them as a mid~high lvl currency, along with chaos, which are low~mid tier currency. chaos orbs you will at least use sometimes

weapon depends more on the build than the class, we cant help until you choose a build since you are new, go for traps/mines i guess because thats easy af to use

welcome to the game btw its a shit game, but its gonna be fun for a while

watch guides on youtube about anything you're wondering, if you don't understand anything in those guides then come ask, because we cant explain generic things better than youtubers/videos anyways unless you have specific questions that they did not explain or you were confused about

There really is no real direction. Some sort of expanded D2/3 compilation with a micro store to do..

But thx I'll keep plugging for a bit. Somehow I'm a ice mage type guy as main attack and trying to lvl traps late game at 32 now.. after getting all sorc type spells lol

Pick a guide thats been around for a long time and follow it 100%. Don't skip a gem, don't ignore flask, literally do everything the guide says. You should get to T10 maps/20 Watch stones before you hit a wall that requires upgrades into expensive gear.

As for all the side mechanics (Syndicate, Delve, Metamorph, Temple, etc.) pick one at a time and google for info. They can be confusing and complicated to actually do and gain a profit for your time.

If you just map and now heist, you should get to lvl 85, T10 maps pretty easy before you start dying instantly.

I've only been playing for about 2 months now, started with summoner, playing cyclone now. Go for an easy build like one of these, its makes the game easier because there's so much info out there on them.
