I haven't done much trading through jsp for a long time and don't want to find myself saying something to somebody in-game or them saying something to me before or after the trade which could potentially lead to my warning, temp or perm ban.

Once a trade has been established on d2jsp via pm or thread, what can we say to one another in-game (if anything) without drawing suspicion?

If you want to avoid it you could do something like setting up a word via PM that you both say before trading - ie 'Pancake'. Just pick a word that nobody would randomly use otherwise and it's pretty good proof that the other person was exactly who you thought they were (plus get their character name before trading too)
