If this is your first playthrough your best choice is to just play the game (and probably follow a build unless you're incredibly experienced at arpgs)

100% this. First character is going to be trash. Find a build guide on the poe website forums and follow it with a skill you want to try and a character you're already running. Get thru the acts. Then learn all of the very extensive material that comes along with this game. It's very involved lol

Poe act rushes are extremely expensive because no auto teleport like diablo 2
