I understand ppl spend their time how they want to spend but this has been bugging me a long time

poe has next to no pvp and idk that just turned me off. Its a good game dont get me wrong with stunning visuals, good animations/models and music as well as creature design but idk i can only kill imaginary scripted dragons so much it starts to bore me)

It brings me to this question...what is the point of grinding all that gear if it will never really see pvp? How fast u can clear rifts and vaals?

Idk might as well install a single player game like skyrim or divinity and just spawn gear there with the most 1337 stats? Then mod a bunch of enemy respawns in there and see how fast u kill them? Ti me thats the same analogy and is no different

Games like d2/wow/runescape have pvp as their endgame and build their economy mostly around pvp...with poe,idk what to trash and what to keep

Runescape PvP isn't end game. Their economy is not built around PvP. Don't kid yourself.

Poe is a fantastic multiplayer game with endless amounts of character customization and endgame content.

To address your points:it's the style of game Poe is. It's a dungeon crawler. You're going to kill monsters for loot and attempt to use or sell that loot to build up your character better so you have a better quality of life. It makes farming gold easier, killing bosses faster, etc. Thats the core premise of any game is to grind and repeat. Shooters? Kill the enemy. Mmorpg? Grind your character skills. Mobas? Kill their base. Tower defence? Protect your base. Adventure? Finish the adventure.

Counter argument for PvP is that it's the same thing over and over. Try to kill this guy. Do I win? Yay! Do I lose? Boo! You're breaking a game down to an individual aspect and comparing it to something you enjoy. Of coutse it's going to look bad. Poe has lots of stuff to do. I've been playing for 2 seasons and I can always switch to something else if I get bored of grinding something. Maps? Ok go delve. No delve? Ok go run a simulacfum. No simu? Ok run uber labs. Bad rotation? Ok use some of my fragments. No frags? Ok go level up. Bored of leveling? Go optimize your build. Can't afford to? Well good news, there's path of building! Done all the theory crafting you can? Well go find that gear! Farm your conquerors to get to sirus! I set a goal this season to kill sirus myself and it took me 5 attempts.

Just seems like dungeon crawlers aren't your thing anymore based off what I'm reading. Which is fine. I just think you're expecting games to be played forever and ever and end game should be PvP. That's fine, but it's YOUR idea of fine. I don't like PvP nor do I have an interest in it. Maybe PvP is what you value in games, and if so then Poe won't have that for you. However that would get stale too, no? Whoever has the best gear wins. Whoever uses the most broken build or whatever is meta wins? At what point is a video game not designed around "grinding"?

The number one reason why i play PoE. The fact that it changing every 3 months makes it attractive every time. And sure same things come back every 3 months but the look is each league a bit different.

100% this. Since I came back to the game in 3.6 I've been able to go back and interact with all the old content I missed which is very time consuming. I'm always finding something new about the game and always learning. It's an ever changing game and that's why it's great.

just play a pvp game whats the point of grinding to enjoy pvp? seems very unappealing to play a game 99% of the time grinding gear if you only enjoy the 1% pvp
