I know we get sent to the Normal game mode, and stash tabs become withdraw only or something.

But what happens with all the broken builds (herald stack)

do they get nerfed in the normal mode? or just future league will be changed and the normal league has all the broken builds?

also regarding exalt prices, do they pretty much stay around 20-22fg on normal? or does it crash and recover as leagues end and start up again?

all nerfs based on changes on character stats, passives, ascendency nodes and gems apply on normal as well, once active

items nerfed will usually keep their stats in the old version and become "legacy", often much more worth than before, if the changes makes them bad ( check for legacy vessel of vinctar for prominent example worth some 250-350 exalts in standard ... )

@exalts - well there is some "burn" in standard as people used exalts for meta-crafting, so the price stayes at "some" value ... although it has deminished over last two years, when its at 20-22 now, was 35 like one or two years ago in standard.
probably because recently the leagues drop much much more currency ( blight ... legion ... metamorph ... now dilirium ... it becomes more and more easy to get masses of currency ).

Thanks! Very thorough, exactly what i was looking for, was basically just trying to decide what items to keep for normal so i can still have a playable char. Guessing ill just buy a working build once I get to normal since my stacker wil def be deceased

Nerfing doesn't translate to useless, but the vocal minority doesn't know other words than op/broken/destroyed.
Herald stacking is broken so it will be more like a bug fix.

The old price guide on standard gives a good impression of the devaluation of everything.
Its from 2016. Ex 65-75.
I had some really good laughs when prices went under 70 and 50 fg.
Because there are always people who think they can stop the tide :)

Anyway it is the same as d2. League ends prices go down on standard. During mid league prices go up on standard but not as much as it went down after previous league.
So overall the line is going down. In 1 to 3 leagues price of exalt in standard will be around 15 or lower.
Devaluation will slow down the closer you come to zero and eventually will stop (as in d2).
But in my opinion that breakpoint isnt reached yet.
