Would it be a good time to start from scratch on the current league?

I also don't have anyone to play with and wondering if you guys think this is a fun game to play alone?

99% of the game is played solo.

League has roughly 1.5 months left, so plenty of time to get your feet wet. By the time the next league starts you should have a basic understanding of the game.

I've been playing for years and most of the time I play solo. It is nice to join a guild to have people to chat to and share items with at the start of a league.

Since you're a new player you can start whenever and just try to get a feel for the game. I would suggest following a build guide so you don't get overwhelmed with the choices and difficulty.
League starts are a lot of fun because there are more people playing so trading is better and the economy is fresh. It's similar to Diablo 2 ladder season restarts.

I set myself to follow one build for now to get the hang of the game, blade flurry is the build I believe.

blade furry was bad for my mouse button, for some reason when i use a channeled skill i press the button harder because i guess i expect it to reach stages faster
