as usual for steam their fuck packages are bloated as fuck ( much more data to download with updates ), normal client is the way to go ...

same package, actually - just takes longer for Valve's client to patch it.

use the official client, the steam version is shit

I've used Steam ever since they released it on steam. I haven't really had any issues besides slightly longer patch times.

unless you need to be the first one on the servers (which usually aren't stable for 2-3 hours anyway) at the start of a league there is no real issue.
patches thru steam are twice the size of standalone and because of the way steam and ggg update it has to pre-allocate for awhile as well, some people report this taking a very long time. its never been an issue for me.

that being said the only real bonus to steam is 1. you can use your steam wallet to purchase mtx/tabs etc and 2. you can track your total hours.

Both of these are the main reasons I use Steam.
