Preface:Archmage and Arcane Cloak are not properly calculated on PoB. I'm not a PoB wiz, so I'm not entirely certain how to make it work. I saw something about adding a manastorm affix to one of my items and then futz with the code, but that's way over my head.

Anyway, I've been looking through official forums, reddit, and here for anything regarding stat weights on weapons for a Storm Brand Archmage build. So far everyone seems to be recommending different shit and/or Apep's Rage. My question is, what are the 6 ideal stats for such a build? I'm assuming something like spell %, cast speed, % light as chaos, mana, mana regen, light % would be best, but I also see a lot of people suggesting things with flat added. I figured since we get so much flat added from Archmage that % increases would far outshine flat added.

No need flat. Crit multi is good if you are not elemental overload.

what about Indigon? you want them mana cost up anywhy

If going rare, getting the 6 rare affixes with high rolls is simplier than targeting individual mods

Sure finding 6 perfect mods is better, but you're gonna be searching for ages to get the right mods/prices

Just avoid flat lightning due to dimishing returns ( i haven't seen any jokers who are suggesting it though)

You've pretty much got it.

Get 20%+ cast speed, 120+ Mana, and 100%+ crit chance (with crit mult if you're not going elemental overload). Spell and lightning damages to round it out.
