Built my comp in 2012, so its not really optimal anymore...

i5 4570 3.2 GHz
8 g ram
gtx 760 <--- lol'd
coolermaster ex2 725w psu


no other game forces the shut down. which is sudden and gives me "power surge detected"

no other activity gives me this prompt.

The shutdown occurs at any point. From just loading up the game to 1 hr into gameplay.

Inconsistent.

Had the same issue once. For me it was the power supply.

I would try to turn off things to reduce power - keyboard lights, mouse lights etc.

Overheating as well?

Blasted air through every visible crevice which had dust.
Fans run smoother and hasn’t shut down since.
Maybe was just a little dirty.

turning off the lights do nothing

upgrade your GPU if you're not looking at getting a brand new PC w/ an AMD CPU.

Thats a power supply issue. Change it before it kills the mobo.

This, it can damage pretty much everything.

Bought a new gpu and an SSD to run poe and other high loading time games on it.

After blowing out the psu i haven't run into any issues.

will be swapping to AMD chip pretty soon while i check newegg for some good deals.
