So I'm trying to craft an elder ring to pair with Mark of the shaper on my ED trickster(using +3 bow).

I managed to get this after only like 3 alts. Maxed out t1 ES.



Do I try to Aug before regal?
Should I regal it and hope for a good mod and anull if it isn't then multimod it? Are rings worth multimodding?

Or should I just reroll over the ES until I get chaos damage or spell damage.

Not sure what I should be aiming for. Don't really need res on it due to other gear so was thinking damage mods + life and/or es/evasion

Base is i86 elder

that particular mod is kinda easy to get, when you craft an elder ring you kinda wanna get the elder affix first and then craft if its a good one, for example warlords on hit on a ring would be lovely and you could imprint and try to craft this affix is not elder, its a kinda common affix so its not really worth as is also the base is shit

so in your particular case, just aug it and hope for an elder affix, or at least some nice t1 or t2 if you hit a good elder affix then you could imprint and carry on, if you hit a random non elder mod, probably just yolo regal and see what happens

This base is perfect for what I need. Needed fire resist, don't need anything else for an implicit. Was also super cheap


Not sure what elder affix would be good for my build, I'll have to look into it.

How is it trash? I need an elder ring for Mark of shaper to give me spell damage. I'm not trying to make some mirror worthy ring to wank off to. I just want some decent stats to benefit my build while getting the synergy for shaper ring.

I'm on ps4 also, it's a miracle I found ANY elder base ring over i80.

I did a few essence rolls for chaos damage but even 30%+ didn't add much so probably gonna go for some basic res+life/evasion/es and maybe mark of the poacher/warlord.


I have a question though, do I get the life/Mana gain on hit with spells? It's worded as attack in the skill description for the marks

ps4? oh...my condolences well on ps4 anything is good, i mean in the land of the blind, if you have even one eye, you are the king ! i really dont know how crafting works on ps4, you guys probably keep stuff that even i would throw

and life/mana on spell hits is a shaper mod, not elder one sorry

Yeah PS4 is a sorry state for items. Basically it's craft your own or spend weeks searching the market board and then pay out the ass.

But t1 rares are pretty much impossible to find on market unless it's super meta like the +3 bow or cyclone weapons.

I might be better off crafting a gg melee ring with this idk. I can get 35% melee damage as a elder mod. Then sell for decent profit and figure out a better caster ring setup.
