I'm an old Diablo 3 player and wanted to give path of exile not sure what build to choose. Ps I really the ww skill but is it viable?

Cyclone is the ww skill you're looking for but you can't use it until level 28.
Yeah it's viable.

Yes ww is still fine, although you wont reach the highest meta-regions.

If you find the game nice and want a "kind of highend" 2-hand ww build the Starforge Sword or Atziris Disfavour are two very strong ( physical ) endgame options.

Of course there are multiple others ^^^^
