Is there a way to convert them into the new map series?

I think 3->1 works (aswell as running them of course) but I was wondering if there was a better way.

standard players are pretty much screwed every time a new map serie comes out....

3 of the same kind and upgrade them, run the ones you don't have 3 of and those maps drop the new ones, or just delete them...
