The current speed clear meta is what reminds me the most about D3 in the current game.

Just clear random maps so fast your build or the map particularities doesn't even matter since it'll be done in under a minute. Like an industrial meat grinder making 20 map... I mean sausages an hour

It matters in both games though.
D3 for ladder.
PoE for ladder and trade. (see vaal spark for 1-100, farming currency etc.)
Although the ladder isn't that important for the majority of the playerbase in either game, clear speed matters in poe for your personal gain in wealth.

yep its all brainless now compared to how it used to be. dont get me wrong its still 666.6% better than actiblizzard's pile of shit but it may be heading in the same direction if casuals overtake the game
