I still remember the original endgame, grinding act 3 docks hoping for that lightning coil to drop

i dont know man...this looks like those bodybuilders 15 years ago writing books how "they were the most skinny kid in the school", "everyone bullied them", then post pics of some anorexic child and say "see, thats me right there", and "so thats why i designed this special program to make you a real chad" and everyone was like "oh he is soooo much like me! im gonna buy his book and support!"

ofc all of that was bullshit and we know better now..or at least we should we seem to have learned that only in this specific case! so when a bodybuilder says "guys im one of you, i was skinny", no one buys it anymore, but when chris says "guys im one of you, im a gamer", for some reason everyone does

so im calling bullshit on much of this. i believe jonathan is an rpg gamer (genre matters, rpg usually means ocd/autism), he indeed looks like one of us. chris...not so much chris has the face of a banker and his eyes are weird. i dont like him and i dont trust him. im not buying anything he says


its actually very scary that people idolize other people, let alone someone like chris

actually i think i got it. chris is a narcissist. why? because people make decisions based on what they themselves prefer, and poe attracts narcissists way more than other rpgs (which as i mentioned, primarily attract people with ocd)


now this could also mean that poe was made for a generation thats increasingly narcissistic and that would make sense, but im sticking with my theory because it looks insightful

I remember grinding act 3 docks. It was the end game, even more than farming Dominus.

I also played the closed beta. I just checked and I created my path of exile account in 2011. It's wild to see how far the game has come in that time.

well their entire business model is a lie to gain money meaning money > players

for example "poe is free to play" is a lie by omission (and a massive one at that). sure you can play but its the same as walking with that huge metal ball chained to your ankle. the correct term would be "poe is free to play severely gimped"
"poe is not pay to win" is actually just a flat out lie, and i saw this years before it happened since i was a hideout creator. there were hideout competitions that had rewards, which meant you could win them. and since poe has cosmetic mtxs that you can buy, and are participating in a cosmetic competition, you were more likely to win if you paid. i even wrote that on poe forums and at first there were different categories (mtx and no mtx). then they got drunk on money, stopped giving a shit, and put everything into the same category. money > players


i mean im fine with money mattering more to them than me, i feel the same. its the lies "oh the players matter the most to us" that bother me the only thing that matters to them more than money is their own image, and they will go to great lengths to preserve it (another clue that chris is a narcissist because he focuses on his image so much). on their forums after a big announcement is made, the first few pages are always random people saying "hype". a few times i camped their forums just to type something else and those comments were deleted. and i was purposefully making completely innocuous comments like "i dont really like this change" just to test them. once i purposefully made a half-correct statement and bex herself posted to correct me because i was on the first page and it was good for their image to do that. that bitch has never posted there up until that point
