Topic is regarding the league challenge: Defeat Essence Monsters with at least 6 essences (0/20).

Am I missing something here or is this just pure RNG?

All Essence passives taken on Atlas tree. Pay 3c to Kirac for 3+ Essence monsters on map. Bring a stack of Remnants of Corruption in case I get a 5-essence monster. Pray to RNGesus?

Any ways to speed this up? I've heard Einhar's Memory of Crystal Prisons is supposed to help, but at 150c, it seems like a big waste unless it gets you a few 6-essence monsters.

i did it on SSFHC
it's all RNG, you've done everything properly
i just spammed white maps (strand is fast with a good layout) with essence mod (3c kirac), you'll find some 6 essences monsters and always corrupt the 5 ones.

Hello, so in the maps, it's basically luck, even taking all the points on the Atlas tree, it's not enough to always get the 6 essences easily (corrupting can help too), but yes, even though it's 150c, memories will make it easier to complete the challenge.
To avoid losing money, buy the memory and carry the essence (Remnant of Corruption) in your inventory, you will certainly profit from each memory.

Note: In TFT, there are players who sell their challenge progress. If you're lucky, you can find players who are willing to trade map entry to kill the essence in exchange for a vouch.
