TR pathfinder or champ for early league is a safe choice if u like the playstyle/Toxic Rain in general
LA + Artillery Ballista Raider for early league is also pretty safe and good early on and u could transition into deadeye thinhs also.
TS champion can also feel extra safe in terms of Effect HP, but will require some additional early investment to feel as good as a deadeye in terms of clear / speed

If you go LA you could transition into Tornado Shot if ur looking for some mega investment project later on

I wouldn't do Ice Shot personally. Played it two leagues and its just not as enjoyable plus the Vaal LA looks cooler and scales with chain/fork as well.

EA totem good league starter always

I'll grant ice shot was worse in the past because it really lacked single target, the vaal version this league corrected that imbalance. Don't knock it just yet.

toxic rain pathfinder will be a safe choice cos you can progress atlas quickly, it can do all map mods, fast mapper and then you can reroll to tornado shot or even venom gyre when you have some currency.
