basically ruthless takes the source of being bad from you to sort of a general state. the system is less complex so the difference in power between left and right end of the distribution is smaller :blush: basically you will still suck, but you will suck much less compared to before!

also by some sheer coincidence you might not only be "less bad" at ruthless, but even good. the fact that one is a subtype of the other with high correlation doesnt mean a 100% correlation. for example jordan peterson is a fucking midwit when general intelligence is concerned, yet he has a genius level verbal iq specifically :mellow:



tldr: just focus on enjoyment and not on being good or not :blush:

as i said, ruthless is a less complex system. less variables means less difference between the ends of the distribution. but less variables also means less gains from them, so builds will always suck more on ruthless and not many of them will be able to pass that "threshold" of even working :wacko: so if you are playing for trading, then in general pick the more complex system if you are above the mean in the distribution curve (basically, do you suck less than the average player), or even if a little below the mean. if you are playing for enjoyment, then pick based on whatever you prefer :blush:

if you want build diversity, i recommend avoiding complex systems altogether. for example something like grim dawn or titan quest :blush: !
