Go play Diablo 3 then. PoE doesn't cater to you.

With master crafting now, you don't even need good gear to do almost all end game content.

If you build a strong character and spam 76+ maps, you should be finding plenty of stuff.

Almost all rare items I wear on my characters are self found not by choice, but because they were pretty damn good upgrades over what I had already bought.

You stop at level 85. I'm guessing it takes you forever to clear 78 maps with ez mods (or you wouldn't be complaining). The really rare uniques are really rare for a reason. They're game changing/build altering items. PoE wasn't made for casual RPG players. If you want those items you either grind or trade for it.

Uhm no. It doesnt take forever to clear 78 maps. And you are STILL missing the point. I could give two shits about the really rare uniques. Fuk them. Im not talking about build changing/altering items. Im talking about fukking items for MY build that drop for me to be happy about AND make my char better. Im not talking about mirror worthy shit. Im just saying "Oh wow thats an upgrade" items. Not OMG I JUST MADE 10000 EXALTS!

You know like in d2 when you find shako or tals ammy on that mf sorc. Those kinds of moments. Or IDing unique rings and praying its soj but its something else you could use. Yeah. Those kind of moments. They are fucking non existent in POE and if it does happen sit back and relax because thats your one for the next 1k hours. People are saying this game isnt catered to me and blah blah. So... The game isnt catered to someone who wants to kill shit and find loot that helps him progress slowly through the game? Its made for people who want to just run map after map then buy items? What in gods name is hardcore or rewarding about that? Sittting on a site punching in numbers for your next upgrade is lame as shit. Then buying items and flipping them to buy items is even more damn lame.

Remember the game Hellgate London? The loot system in that game was fukking epic. You knew what boss dropped what. You could buy it trade for it and there was an auction house. But it was a like loot heaven all the time. Tough decisions all the time about what to keep or sell or whatever. So many options to make your char better it was insane. Now lets compare that to poe. Oh dom run 3000 got some more shards. I dont even ID rares anymore. Lets check poex to see if I can afford anything or if someone put something on there below its price. Damn im awesome. All these exalts to buy shit. Nice.

Hellgate severs shut down, I never got to play it because I was in college, and my pc and Internet connection blowed. (I couldn't even watch youtube without it loading 5 seconds per half second...)

To be perfectly honest though, I understand where you are coming from, but I've played poe for like...? A year plus now? I've found 5 t1 items before, and sold it 200+ exalts. My point is, good stuff does drop every now and then, but players rarely know it's value, like if you link a 3 t1 ring ingame and ask for 40 ex more than 99% of the players would be saying you smoke, the finest of weed( am I saying this right? I'm bad with drug jokes). But in actuality stuff like this just more often than not, vendor ed or treated as garbage.

Finding a ik armor and tali ammy is similar to finding and eternal orb I think, in terms of equivalent value, they were good. But nothing in comparison to rune words.

Shavs mjonler is equal to a high rune/ multiple of them, mirror... like a complete rune word drop?

Shako is like an exalt, good but not great, can basic ly buy an thing you want.

I like self found, but I don't play self found.

I love going through the D2 threads of all the self found players its interesting to see and brings back nostalgia but I don't have the patience

however a lot of self found players are like hardcore players which are also like crossfitters

they need to announce to the world and let everyone know that they are self found players

D2 Xpac was the trial version of D2 for the little babies who wanted to have everything.

I played classic where rare items ruled. So I'm very at home on PoE. I think you just want loot to be handed to you like free little candies that you barely have to work for. Go play D3 man.

Trading is a part of the game with PoE. Trading has its negatives as player interaction isn't always fluid and you have to compete within a market. The game just isn't designed to the expectation that you can always find what you need for any build in a broad sense.

Most generic builds I do, I can easily gear it up playing self found and just farming. Masters crafting benches had made it so easy. But the trading aspect enhances the game for most people. It just speeds up the process, most of the time you could easily just gear a character on your own and just have to grind out more low end content but trading just allows you to get there quicker.There could for sure be made improvements to the trading system but maybe those will come in the future. If trading to complete your build doesn't bring you any fulfillment and you feel the grind isn't for you, go play Diablo 3 which is probably more in line with what you want.

SO because I do not want to grind 10 hours a day or 3 a day for months... I want everything handed to me? There are people who have thousands of hours played and <20 exalts to ever drop and not 1 T1 unique. So.... What do you say to those people?

Chaos receipe? Flip items? Make a store? Go play d3? Make a farming/mf char? Multibox?

Serioiusly? What in the fuck is the fun of NEVER finding anything and having to save and buy. Why do you people defend this? Im not talking about I WANT SHAVS IN <100 or even 1k hours... Im talking finding anything that get a holy shit reaction in 2 fucking thousand hours.
