There are a lot of things taken from guildwars, just like a lot taken from the diablo franchise.
Also titan quest.

And Diablo took a lot from other games too, so lets not put Diablo on a fucking pedestal because really, look where it's at now; Diablo 3? GARBAGE. That's like saying WoW was the first MMO and anything after copied that game, when WoW/Blizzard copied/took from EQ, UO, and others.

This game is nothing like Guild Wars.

Diablo is on a pedestal. Whether you like it or not.
The game MADE the style. Just as guildwars made that style.
And this game has a lot of guildwars aspects, which were mostly improvements on the problems with d2.
GW was designed by many of the original d2 developers that were frustrated with blizzard.

Diablo is only on a pedestal due to the name backing it; Blizzard. Like I said, take a good look where it's at now; it failed.

I take that back; it didn't fail. It succeeded in the fact that it sold many copies and made them money, but it failed due to it being a shitty game; which proves my point. It's garbage.

Just because diablo 3 is garbage doesn't take away anything from diablo 2.

Almost all of the developers that worked on diablo 2 were not present in the making of diablo 3. It's easy to understand the results of that now.

It was obvious from the start living up to the hype people wanted from d3 was never going to happen.

Part of the reason d3 is hated so much is because of how great diablo 2 was.

I'm aware; that's why it failed, hence why I've stated various times on this forum that it's not worthy of being a "Diablo" game. It didn't match up against D1 and D2.




Please read what I've stated already in this thread. The ONLY reason why D3 was a success was due to it's name. The game is crap.
