a "good hc dueler" in d2 is like a good paralympics basketball player i mean sure you can be considered good where you play, but if you go to a league where players have arms and legs, you wont do very well

people who played hc exclusively were never good duelers. no exceptions

"duel without rules" so he was good at knowing how to stack/absorb elements, thats pretty much it

i think so too ! rules were there for a reason, and there wasnt even near 5000 of them like he said, you could literally write all d2 duel rules on one piece of paper! i know cause i did just that

I disagree. There were so many ridiculous rules in softcore dueling that the paralympics duelers would be the softcore duelers with their hundreds of weird rules. Whereas in hardcore none of those rules applied and you were free to duel with whatever you wanted to use, any char, any skill, no restrictions. I would consider HC dueling: REAL dueling. But that's just my opinion. I guess we will agree to disagree.

Ps: oh and if you died in HC dueling you were dead for good. I also never used chicken hack or any of that BS. 100% pure legit hc dueler here.

this is exactly why hc duelers sucked hard. you had no chance to practice dueling because the char would die permanently on first death and talent doesnt matter for shit here, no practice = no skill

Not really. You could do high lvl duels or mid lvl duels or low lvl duels. Different brackets in each. It depends. Yeah element duelers were weak but you could use some tricks, etc to help you win using them. Like I said it all depends on your build and your opponent. But imposing hundreds of rules prohibiting this and that, sounds more like the Paralympics.

Anyway this went off-topic. So I'm done with this d2 dueling discussion.
